Creative Writing

These worksheets are designed to spark imagination and help students practice storytelling in English. Each worksheet uses a picture or prompt to guide students through three steps:

  1. Imagine – Look at the picture or prompt and think about the story.
  2. Organize – Use the graphic organizer to plan characters, events, and details.
  3. Write – Create the story using the organizer and key vocabulary.

How to Use in Class

  • Perfect for Lower Levels of the CEFR
    At A1–A2, focus on short sentences and simple vocabulary.

  • Pair and Group Work
    Students can work together to compare their story ideas, build on each other’s plans, and share different endings.

  • Speaking Extensions
    After writing, students can tell their stories to a partner, present to the class, or adapt them into role plays.
