Grammar Drill Cards

These cards are a simple way to get students practicing grammar in short, interactive exchanges. Each card has a prompt on one side and the answer on the other, so learners can work in pairs to ask and answer questions. After a round, they exchange cards and continue practicing with new prompts.

The cards work especially well as a practice or engage activity during lessons, helping students build accuracy and confidence with key grammar forms.

How to Use

  1. Print and cut the cards along the lines.
  2. Fold so that one learner sees the prompt and the other sees the answer.
  3. Students ask and answer questions with their partners.
  4. After both sides have practiced, students exchange cards and continue with new partners.
  5. For freer practice, students can begin making their own answers instead of reading the answer side.
