Mixed Speaking Test 4 with Rubric

This a speaking test designed for use with high beginner through upper intermediate  EFL/ESL learners. This test includes a rubric page for teacher with instructions on how to administer the test.

First show the picture to your students. Have the students describe the picture in as much detail as possible. Next, show the text to your students. Allow a moment for students to read the text silently before speaking. Then have the students read the text out loud. Listen and grade accordingly using the rubric.

The rubric for this test assess students in two areas. Picture Description Clarity Organization Word Choice Reading Text Aloud Time to Respond (start reading) Clarity Pronunciation Speed Textual Accuracy

This speaking test is appropriate for helping students prepare for the National English Aptitude Test (NEAT) or TOEIC style speaking tests.
