Here are tools for teachers that can easily be adapted for classroom use. When possible I’ve included the .pdf for you to preview and a document file that you can download and personalize for classroom needs.
This is a rubric designed to provide details on what a grading scale or score means based on certain participation standards. This rubric is designed for communicative classrooms.
The standards on this rubric are: In class participation, contributing to team work, asking questions to clarify understanding, responding to questions and spontaneous response, and completion of in class activities organized in a notebook or classroom portfolio.
This rubric can be added to a report using a P+ through F grading system or used with a more traditional numerical 100% through 0% grading scale. While this is designed to be seen as a whole rubric, teachers could also use these standards as comments for feedback on class performance or in reports.
Teachers could also use this as a general grading rubric for communicative classes. This rubric is in English and Korean to make it accessible to learners, parents, and administrators.
