Here are tools for teachers that can easily be adapted for classroom use. When possible I’ve included the .pdf for you to preview and a document file that you can download and personalize for classroom needs.
Often teachers are asked to give comments on student performance in the classroom. It can sometimes be difficult to figure out just what to say that will clearly communicate to parents student performance.
This sheet has a number of comments that speak to different types of student performance in the classroom that teachers can add to a report. Comments are in English and Korean for maximum accessibility.
These comments are specifically designed for the end of the current semester or grading period and assume students will have more time during the school year to improve performance.
Comments are organized into categories of English language performance specifically: participating in the class, contributing to team work and team activities, asking questions to improve understanding, responding to questions from teachers and other students and providing spontaneous response, and keeping a notebook, journal or portfolio of class exercises and activities.
Comments are organized from excellent to weak performance. This is a word file so teachers can cut and paste comments as appropriate. Personalize comments by adding student names and editing to reflect learners as needed.
